DESCRIPTION

The Head of Sales is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with healthcare partners, including healthcare delivery systems, medical groups, and others responsible for the health of their populations. You will be interacting directly with our partners, helping them find ways to develop innovative technologies with Puriely. Your knowledge of relevant mobile health, analytics tools, and digital health platforms and relationships with key industry players will help shape our product strategy and delivery.

In addition, you will help the team formulate and manage alliances, joint ventures and other commercial relationships with partners and work closely with internal science and engineering teams to support our efforts to develop novel disease management solutions, data and analytics insights, software-based healthcare tools, and other advanced technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cradle-to-grave responsibility for a wide range of transaction types from collaborations, to joint ventures, to multi-party partnerships. 

  • Structure and negotiate agreements with partners by working closely with diverse internal engineering and product management teams to formulate business plans. 

  • Evaluate opportunities, conduct due diligence, negotiate agreement terms and present recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Work with senior leadership to define strategic requirements for partnership opportunities, determine capability or operational fit with existing strategy, develop, nurture, and manage partnership pipelines.

  • Establish and grow relationships with existing and new partners. Act as the central point of contact and maintain comprehensive account knowledge; Ensure the consistent exercise of appropriate judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications

  • Master's/MBA in a clinical, technical, healthcare delivery, engineering field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15+ years of experience working in a business development and sales strategy role with health technology, healthcare systems, medical groups, alternative payment models and/or health insurance companies.

  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives across various geographies.

  • Demonstrated track record of managing and closing transactions.

  • Ability to travel.

Preferred qualifications

  • PhD, MD, or equivalent practical experience in medicine, life sciences or related fields.

  • Experience in regulated environments, and in managing and structuring alliances in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other related industries.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing startup environment.

  • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and team-enhancing capabilities.

  • Effective project management, relationship-building and negotiation skill. Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
